Owner & Creative Director
Founder and Creative Director Parris Balazs is a Certified Wedding and Special Event Planner who has planned and produced more than 150 weddings and events throughout her career. Known for her calm leadership, thoughtful guidance, and meticulous attention to detail, Parris approaches every celebration with the belief that remarkable events are built through purposeful planning, meaningful design, and genuine connection.
Before entering the events industry, Parris built a professional foundation in marketing, sales, operations, and client service. Those experiences shaped the planning philosophy she still carries today: helping clients find the crossroads of best quality and best value while creating an experience that feels seamless, personal, and exceptionally well executed.
Over the years, Parris has earned recognition including Wedding MBA Elite Certified Wedding Planner and Designer status, multiple WeddingWire Couples' Choice Awards, The Knot Best of Weddings Awards, selection to Business Elite's 40 Under 40 USA list, and recognition as one of the top wedding planners in the Columbia, South Carolina region. While grateful for these accomplishments, she considers the trust placed in her by clients and industry partners to be her greatest achievement.

Balazs Events provides full service wedding planning, design, and production for a select number of couples each year. This intentionally limited client roster allows every celebration to receive an exceptional level of attention, communication, and support.
From venue selection and budget development to vendor management, logistics, design direction, and event execution, every aspect of the planning process is carefully guided from start to finish. Parris personally oversees each project, ensuring every decision is informed, every detail is considered, and every element works together cohesively.
